Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is allegedly draining the long-term battery life of iPhones at a rapid rate, according to a handful of different users.

Warzone Mobile, as the name suggests, is the mobile version of Call of Duty’s hugely popular Battle Royale title, Warzone. The free-to-play title launched worldwide on March 21st for both Android and iOS, and while iPhone users are reporting a drastic decrease in battery life, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for Android users either.

Activision has said that any accounts found to be artificially inflating their SR will be banned.

Shortly after Warzone Mobile’s launch, Android users quickly discovered that the highly-anticipated game had pretty poor performance on Android devices. Thankfully, Activision was quick to deploy a new update that included graphical fixes and other various improvements to enhance the overall performance of the game on Android devices.

While some Android users are insistent that the game still remains in a bad state on Android, a handful of iOS users are now reporting their battery life is declining at a drastic rate after playing Warzone Mobile.

Warzone Mobile Could Be Damaging Your iPhone Battery

In a recent post by Call of Duty news account CODIIINTEL, the user has reportedly received multiple examples of player’s iPhone’s overall battery life declining at a rapid rate.

The user claims that they have been sent “multiple reports” via direct message that Warzone Mobile is “draining iPhone’s battery health massively.” One of the unknown sources claimed their battery health went from 97% to 92% in less than a week.

For those who might be unaware, most modern iPhones can display their overall battery health via the device’s settings. The longer you own your phone and the more you use it, the more you will see a decline in your overall battery health. This is usually displayed as your battery’s “maximum capacity.”

There are a magnitude of different things that can affect your device’s battery health, but such sharp declines in short periods are far from normal.

While there’s no way to confirm the legitimacy of these claims, some users responded by claiming that their battery life has also seen a sharp decline within a short amount of time. X User Twist Of Fate said that their battery health dropped from 98% to 94% in just 7 days.
