Cards Against Humanity Sues Elon Musk’s SpaceX for Trespassing in Troll-Filled Lawsuit

The company behind the hit game Cards Against Humanity has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk’s SpaceX in Texas over alleged trespassing, according to a website set up by the company. SpaceX has been using the property like they own it according to the suit, clearing vegetation, moving soil, and staging construction equipment. Cards Against Humanity wants $15 million in damages.

Cards Against Humanity originally bought property along the U.S.-Mexico border to keep it from being used for then-president Donald Trump’s planned wall. The card company raised the money through crowdfunding to secure the land and has owned it ever since.

“Elon Musk’s SpaceX was building some space thing nearby, and he figured he could just dump his shit all over our gorgeous plot of land without asking,” Cards Against Humanity said on a dedicated website about the suit. “After we caught him, SpaceX gave us a 12-hour ultimatum to accept a lowball offer for less than half our land’s value. We said, ‘Go fuck yourself, Elon Musk. We’ll see you in court.’”

The website refers to Musk as a “charity-embezzlingconspiracy-peddling eugenicist manchild who trades horses for in-flight handjobs,” complete with links out about each of those infamous stories about the billionaire. And it includes the allegations about the alleged trespassing as well as an explanation for why they feel a lawsuit is necessary.

“Our longstanding reputation as a company that makes outrageous promises and actually keeps them is on the line!” the company said on its website. “We promised we’d use every legal tool at our disposal to protect this land from bullies like Trump and Musk (who’s spending millions to get Trump elected and also wants to build the stupid wall). If we don’t take action now, why would anyone ever trust us again?”

The complaint, which is available to read in its entirety online, even includes before and after photos of the property, which show how it appeared pristine before being filled with SpaceX construction materials and heavy equipment. SpaceX didn’t respond to an email seeking comment on Friday.

Cards Against Humanity says that if the company wins the lawsuit against SpaceX, it will divide the money up among the people who helped buy the property back in 2017 through its crowdfunding campaign. That means everyone who donated could potentially get about $100 if the company wins the full $15 million settlement. Anyone who contributed to the original crowdfunding campaign is encouraged to visit the website elonowesyou100dollars.com and provide their information.

But don’t get your hopes up about a big payday. The disclaimer when you sign up puts it pretty bluntly.

“I understand that Elon Musk has way more money and lawyers than Cards Against Humanity, and while CAH will try its hardest to get me $100, they will probably only be able to get me like $2 or most likely nothing,” the website reads.

Indeed he does have way more money and lawyers. Musk is literally the richest guy in the world.
