While quite a few different companies have gotten into the market of foldable phones, Google’s entry has been a bit more recent with its Pixel Fold. It’s managed to do a pretty good job of it too, with the Pixel Fold finding its way onto our list of favorite foldable phones, so if you’re in the Google ecosystem, it’s well worth getting. That said, it’s very pricey, and even the 256GB version is going for $1,799, which is probably a lot more than most folks are willing to pay. Luckily, there are some great deals you can take advantage of.
Google’s foldable has a book-style folding design, with a 5.8-inch external display and a 7.6-inch internal panel. It’s powered by the company’s in-house Tensor G2 chip and has all the features you’d expect from a high-end device, like 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM and a triple-lens camera system with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens and a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera.

How much does the Pixel Fold cost?
The Google Pixel Fold launched at $1,799 in the US, putting it right on par with the starting price of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5. And the price jumps up to $1,919 if you want a 512GB model with double the storage.
What colors does the Pixel Fold come in?
The Pixel Fold comes in just two colors: white and black. That’s a slimmed-down palette compared with previous Pixel-branded phones.
Best Pixel Fold deals
There’s currently a direct discount on the Pixel Fold that brings it down by $500, and you can save up to $900 with an eligible trade-in — with the iPhone 14 lineup bringing you the biggest discount. Google also accepts phones from Samsung, LG, Motorola and others.
AT&T customers who have a device to trade in can get up to $1,124 in bill credits on the Google Pixel Fold, knocking down the price to as little as $675. You’re required to add or switch to an eligible unlimited plan and purchase this device on an installment plan. The discount is then applied as bill credits over a 36-month period, and you’ll have to pay the remaining balance if you cancel service before then.
AT&T also has its own trade-in program, where you can save even more in exchange for your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands, but it’s not required to qualify for this deal.
Verizon customers who purchase the Pixel Fold by adding a new line of service with the Unlimited Ultimate plan and trading in an eligible device can qualify for up to $1,000 off. If you just have a device to trade in, you can still save up to $800, though you’ll have to upgrade to the Unlimited Ultimate plan if you don’t already have it. Discounts are given in the form of bill credits spread out over 36 months. Verizon is currently only offering the obsidian (black) color.
Plus, Verizon is offering up to $400 in additional credit if you add a Google Pixel Watch 2 to any plan when purchasing the Google Pixel Fold phone. Just note that you’ll need a new line of service for that device to get the discount.
There is a direct discount from Amazon right now on the 256GB Google fold that knocks $509 off the price and brings it down to $1,290. The 512Gb version also has a discount, although not as significant at just $179, bringing it down to $1,740
Amazon also has its own trade-in program where you can get up to $401 off in exchange for your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands.
Best Buy has a direct discount of $500 on the unlocked 256GB model of the Pixel Fold, and it’s sweetening the pot with bonuses like a one-month membership to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (worth $15) and three months of 100GB of Google One cloud storage (a $6 value) for new subscribers.
Best Buy does offer its own trade-in program, where you can save by trading in your old phone from Apple, Google, Samsung and other brands. Although the absolute latest models can score you as much as $755, you’re more likely to get between $300 to $400, depending on the age, condition and brand of your phone.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Pixel Fold is temporarily out of stock at T-Mobile, although we have seen a $1,000 discount via bill credits with a new line or eligible trade-in, so it’s worth checking back later if you don’t want to take any of the other deals here.
